Well, I'd like to talk about a painting that has left a lasting impression on me: “The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci who is a renowned artist of the Renaissance period. I first encountered this remarkable piece of art during a visit to the Louvre Museum in Paris, which is home to some of the most iconic works of art in the world.

 

What I find most captivating about "The Last Supper" is the depth of emotion and storytelling it conveys. The expressions on the faces of the disciples reveal a range of emotions, from astonishment to concern, as they react to Jesus' revelation that one of them will betray him. The intricate details in the setting, including the architecture and the positioning of figures, add to the overall complexity of the painting.

 

Moreover, "The Last Supper" is not just a visual masterpiece but also a puzzle in itself. It has been the subject of numerous interpretations and speculations, with some even suggesting hidden meanings and codes within the painting. There's always something more to discover each time you look at it. This aspect of mystery and intrigue makes it all the more fascinating to me.

Well, I’m not an expert but I suppose that there are a number of underlying differences here. I guess that the most significant would lie in the utilization of color. In contrast, drawing predominantly relies on monochromatic techniques like pencil or charcoal, emphasizing line and shading over color.

 

2. Why do some people keep a painting for a long time?
