You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.

Describe an occasion when you had to do something in a hurry.

You should say:

What you had to do

Why you had to do this in a hurry

How well you did this

and explain how you felt about having to do this in a hurry.

A time I had to do something in a hurry was when I was heading to an important appointment, and I got stuck in a huge traffic jam. I had left home early, thinking that I had more than enough time, but I hadn’t anticipated how severe the traffic would be that day.

As the minutes ticked by, I realized I needed to come up with a quick solution, so I tried to find alternate routes while constantly checking the clock. I was getting more and more anxious because I didn’t want to miss the meeting, and I knew it would look unprofessional if I arrived late.

In the end, I made it there just a few minutes late, which wasn’t ideal, but I was relieved that I caught most of the meeting. Although I managed to get through it, I still felt pretty stressed. The experience made me realize how unpredictable traffic can be, and I learned to leave extra time for unexpected delays in the future.
