Do you prefer spending holidays with friends or with family? 

It depends on the type of holiday. If it is a longer, traditional holiday such as Tet, which is our Lunar New Year, I tend to spend most of my time around my family. It is a window of opportunity for me to visit my grandparents, who I only get to see a few times a year since I’m so burdened with work. However, if the holiday is short then I would much rather spend an afternoon going out with friends and use the remainder of the time being a couch potato.

What kind of holiday accommodation do you like to stay in?

I tend to gravitate towards a cottage or a chalet in a remote area. I don’t get to enjoy a wide array of services like in a hotel, but the atmosphere in those establishments is much more charming to me. I have found that it is much more calming and therapeutic for me whenever I stay in those places.

What plans do you have for your next holiday?

Next month, me and a few of my friends are going to Moc Chau, which is a town in the northwest of Vietnam. We don’t have any concrete details such as where we are staying or what we are going to do there, so we will have to improvise and adapt to the situation as we go.

Is your city or region a good place for other people to visit on holiday?

Not at all, actually. The inhabitants here usually go back to their hometowns or go on vacation to other places on holiday, which means most restaurants, shops and attractions are closed during those celebrations. It can be horrifying for a tourist to see an overpopulated city become an eerie ghost town overnight.
