The given charts detail the national budget for police in a specific area of Britain during the years 2017 and 2018, including the source of the money and its output allocation. Overall, the total police budget increased after one year, with the largest amount spent on paying employees' salaries.

As illustrated, police expenditures in 2017 were 304.7m pounds, of which the national government funding accounted for over half, at 175.5m pounds. Local taxes took the subsequent position as 91.2m pounds were dedicated to the police in 2017. After a year, there was a slight increase in the police budget to 318.6m pounds and other contributing sources. Noteworthily, national government funding and local taxes still took the leading role, with 177.8m pounds and 102.3m pounds respectively. 

Regarding the fund’s distribution, it was readily apparent that officers' and staff’s salaries accounted for a large majority amount of money in both years studied. Meanwhile, the police budget to maintain and improve infrastructure such as buildings and transportation remained unchanged at 17%. The only increase observed was funding for technology innovation, as the figure rose by 6% in 2018.
