What did you study in history lessons when you were at school?

When I was in school, we studied a wide range of topics in history lessons. We learned about ancient civilizations like the Greeks and Romans, as well as more contemporary historical events like World War II and the Cold War. We also focused on the history of my country, Vietnam, including the struggle for independence and the Resistance War against the USA. I found history lessons to be really interesting because they helped me understand how the world has changed over time and how events in the past shape our present.

Did you enjoy studying history at school? Why/Why not?

Yes, I did enjoy studying history at school to a great extent. I found it fascinating to learn about different cultures, civilizations, and periods. It was like traveling back in time and seeing how people lived in the past. I also enjoyed learning about historical figures and their impact on the world. However, I sometimes found the dates and facts to be a bit overwhelming, as they need to be completely exact.

How often do you watch TV programmes about history now? Why/Why not?

I rarely watch TV programs about history. While I still find history interesting, I prefer to learn about it through other sources like books and documentaries. I find that these formats allow me to go at my own pace and delve deeper into specific topics that spark my interest. Plus, I enjoy the visual and auditory elements of documentaries, which can bring history to life in a more engaging way

What period in history would you like to learn more about? Why?

I'd be interested in learning more about the Renaissance period. This era, spanning the 14th to the 17th centuries, was a time of significant cultural, artistic, and scientific advancements in Europe. I'm particularly intrigued by the rediscovery of classical Greek and Roman works, the emergence of humanism, and the groundbreaking discoveries made in fields like science, art, and literature.
