Bài mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 2: “Describe a time you gave good advice to someone"

Trang is our newfound fitness guru and all-around motivator in the neighborhood. From the moment Trang unpacked her dumbbells and yoga mats, she brought an infectious enthusiasm for a healthier lifestyle. With her friendly demeanor and endless encouragement, she's got everyone in the neighborhood dusting off their sneakers and rediscovering the joy of movement.

What's truly heartwarming is how she tailors her advice for all fitness levels. Whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or someone whose idea of a workout is lifting the TV remote, Trang finds a way to make it fun and accessible for everyone. But it's not just about the physical workouts, it's the community spirit she's fostering. Trang has organized neighborhood walks, impromptu Zumba sessions, and even some yoga classes in the park. There's this new camaraderie as we collectively decide to wave goodbye to couch potato status.

Our community has transformed into this lively hub of health and positivity, all thanks to Trang. The sidewalks are bustling with people walking their dogs, families going for evening strolls, and jogging groups forming.

Part 3

  1. Do you think parents should give their children advice?

Absolutely! I firmly believe that parents should offer advice to their children in every aspect of life. It's like having a personal guide through the complexities of growing up and it is a time for bonding too. Parents, with their experience and love, can provide invaluable insights and support.

  1. Should teachers give students advice?

Yes, teachers should definitely give advice to students, but it has to be in the right context. It can strengthen the bond between them. However, there's a line to be maintained. It’s important for teachers to be approachable yet maintain a professional boundary. When a teacher becomes a mentor, their advice can be incredibly impactful, guiding students not just academically but also in personal development.

  1. Do you think it is necessary for us to listen to friends’ advice?

Listening to friends' advice can be really beneficial, especially in certain situations. Friends, as outsiders to our personal dilemmas, can offer a fresh perspective that we might not see. It's like getting a new lens to look at our problems. Of course, it’s important to discern and consider the advice wisely, but having that external viewpoint can be incredibly enlightening.

  1. How to give young people and old people advice?

Giving advice to young and old people can be tricky. With elderly folks, who might be more conservative, it's about respecting their views while gently introducing new ideas. For younger people, it’s about relating to their experiences and offering guidance that resonates with them.

  1. What are the areas in which people are more or less willing to accept advice?

People’s willingness to accept advice often varies depending on the area. In relationships, for example, it can be a bit sensitive. Sometimes, being too close to a situation can cloud judgment, so outside advice can be helpful. However, it’s crucial that the advice is given and received with understanding and respect for personal boundaries.

  1. Have you ever received any advice from professional people, like a doctor, a lawyer or a  teacher?

Yes, I have. Before making significant decisions, I try to seek out expert advice. These professionals bring specialized knowledge and experience that can guide me in making informed choices. It’s about tapping into their expertise to ensure that my decisions are well-grounded and prudent.
