What are the required qualities of a role model?

I think a role model should possess a balanced combination of personal and professional attributes. Firstly, they should be morally upright and have strong ethical values. A role model should also be someone who is passionate and self-driven, demonstrating perseverance in the face of challenges.

Additionally, I believe a role model should be intelligent and knowledgeable, yet approachable and humble. They should inspire others through their actions and achievements, while remaining grounded and relatable. Effective communication and leadership skills are also crucial, as a role model often influences and guides others.

Are there famous people who are your role models in the sports field?

Although I’m not much of a sports enthusiast, I really look up to football superstar Lionel Messi, and he is such a shining example of an inspiring role model. The Argentinian player has devoted his whole life to football and achieved innumerable titles. Even though he has reached the apex of his career, Messi remains a humble person and always steers clear of scandals, whose personality resembles the saying “action speaks louder than words”.   

Is a role model important for children?

Absolutely, role models are crucial for children's development. They act as a compass for the young minds, navigating them towards positive values and behaviors. Since children learn quickly by imitating, having a positive role model can significantly shape their character and aspirations.

Role models can inspire children to reach their full potential, build self-esteem, and develop a strong sense of purpose. They can also help children understand the importance of hard work and resilience. Moreover, having a role model can provide children with a sense of security and belonging, especially during challenging times.

Is there any difference between today’s famous people and the original famous people?

Yes, there's a significant difference between today's and past famous people. In the past, fame was often associated with achievements in specific fields like science, politics, or literature. People like Marie Curie, Mahatma Gandhi, or Shakespeare gained recognition for their substantial contributions to society.

However, the definition of fame has evolved over the course of history. Today, social media has revolutionized the path to stardom, allowing anyone with a talent or a unique personality to gain a massive following. While there are still individuals famous for their accomplishments, many others are known for their appearance, lifestyle, or simply being entertaining.

What kind of people can become famous people in your country?

Nowadays, individuals with a strong online presence, such as social media influencers, can achieve a level of fame previously unimaginable. Additionally, people with unique talents or extraordinary life stories can also become instant celebrities through reality TV shows or online platforms.

It's evident that the path to fame has become more diverse and accessible, with opportunities extending beyond traditional avenues.

Do you think celebrities and social media influencers have a great impact on young people?

Yes, undoubtedly, celebrities and social media influencers wield a significant influence over young people. Their glamorous lifestyles, seemingly perfect lives, and constant exposure through various platforms make them powerful role models, whether positive or negative.

On one hand, they can inspire and motivate young people to pursue their passions, whether it's in fashion, music, or entrepreneurship. They can also raise awareness about important social issues and encourage positive change.

However, it's crucial to acknowledge the potential negative impact. The unrealistic portrayal of beauty standards, the emphasis on material possessions, and the pressure to achieve instant success can be detrimental to young people's self-esteem and mental health.
