While some argue that remote work mainly benefits employees, I firmly disagree and believe that it offers substantial advantages to employers as well.

First and foremost, remote work has proven to be a cost-effective approach for employers. When it comes to overhead expenses, businesses can significantly cut back on their utility bills. Fewer employees at the physical office space mean less electricity, water, and other utility consumption, which directly translates into financial savings for employers. Additionally, the need for large office properties is reduced, leading to decreased rent and maintenance costs. A well-known example of this in Vietnam is the transition of many technology companies like FPT and Viettel to remote work arrangements, resulting in reduced operational costs and increased profitability.

Regarding productivity, working from home offers increased employee efficiency, which contributes to the growth and success of enterprises. Employees, when provided the flexibility to work from their preferred location, can create a personalized and comfortable work environment tailored to their individual needs. This heightened level of comfort substantially diminishes the stress commonly associated with traditional office spaces. For example, during COVID-19 pandemic, tech giants like Facebook had to comply with social distancing measures and surprisingly, they observed a surge in employee productivity during this period.

In conclusion, the merits of remote work extend beyond the employees and significantly impact employers. Not only does remote work provide financial viability, but this method also facilitates the development of the company. It is undeniable that remote work emerges as a clear winner for employers.
